OUR RATIONALE
The Sons of Goodwill/Lincoln Cemetery is relatively unknown in Gettysburg, in contrast to the National Cemetery and Evergreen Cemetery. It is our intention to utilize the tangible of the Sons of Goodwill/Lincoln Cemetery as a foil to the National Cemetery to exhibit the intangible aspects of segregation in the 19th and 20th centuries. Furthermore, access to the cemetery is limited to the general public, so we intend that our project allow digital access to those who cannot gain physical access.
